The R81 Football Wednesday Development Programme helps children build confidence, improve their skills and enjoy learning the game through small-sided football sessions. Based in Woolwich and close to Plumstead, Thamesmead, Blackheath, Shooters Hill, Charlton and Kidbrooke, our sessions give children more touches, more decisions and more chances to dribble, pass, shoot and express themselves on the ball.

The Wednesday Development Programme takes place at Mulgrave Primary School, Rectory Place, Woolwich, London, SE18 5DL.

The programme is for children in Years 5–8 (age 9-13), with separate session times for Years 5–6 and Years 7–8.
Is this programme suitable for beginners?
Yes. The programme is suitable for children who are new to football, as well as children who already play for a team and want extra training.

R81 Football uses Brazilian-inspired, game-based coaching. Sessions focus on small-sided games, lots of touches, confidence, creativity and decision-making.

Yes. Parents can book a £5 trial before joining the full block.
